OOTDW: Week outfits 4/18

Happy Friday to all! Wow, what a crazy busy week if you had one of those weeks were sitting in the sofa is a dream. Well that's me right now, it's Friday and I just want to chill.

 

Anyways this was a pretty good week when it comes to outfits I think, I was on a fashion roll. So here are some of the outfits.

Tuesday: White dress w gold chain ( Ross), Grey heels , ring premier designs. I hardly wear dresses to work, but it was a dress kinda day.

 

Wednesday : Colorful day , yellow and aqua have to be one of my favorite this spring. Yellow shirt ( gift from mom) , black vest XXI, Pants JcP Outlet in PA, necklace flea market shop, bangles Bealls.

So two things about bargain shopping these pants have to be the most expensive pair I own lol. NOT! :0) when I say a bargains this was one, they were $1.99. Yes! Can you believe that , well the saver in me I got them in 3 colors. Why not! Now jewerly , flea markets are a good place to get some cute things as well. I happen to go and saw this necklace for $6.00, as you might know bubble necklaces are popular and expensive. So I jumped at the chance.

 

Friday : Rocking kinda day. Star pants, black tank , beige shirt ( Bealls) , cross necklace (XXI) , boots Shoedazzle

Happy Spring!!!

Happy Spring! some of you spring hasn't arrived yet but let's think warm weather and sun.... Ok! Ok! It might not work that way, but a girl can only hope. Just last Monday we were in the 40s in Fl, today is 79 can we say biploar weather. But enough on the weather, so I've been doing some shopping for spring. Those who know me ,know I hardly ever shop retail that 90% of my items are on sale. So this was no exception for me.

So what are we wearing this spring? Well lots of colors ladies, bold is still In but we have added black and white, and stripes for the nautical look. So lets break it down, when looking for items for this spring stick to the following color pallet.

 

Oh! Emerald Green an amazing color on almost all skin tones. I love wearing green with yellow, navy blue and browns. I paired this green tunic when skinny jeans, and a leopard scarf.

Now let's not forget the eyes ladies, make them stand out with green eyeliner. This is a liquid liner by prestige cosmetics.

Now to my shopping haul at Bealls & JCP, lets just say everything was less then $10.00.

Nautical is so in , dont you just love it. From Michael Kors to H&M, they've created styles for every budget. This top I picked up at h&m for $7.00 I paired it with a coral bubble necklace from Charlotte Russe. Shoes Shoedazzle, jeans jeggings.

DIY Nails

Hi! Friends I hope everyone had a great weekend. I sure did, can't wait to share with you my new toy. But maybe on next weeks post :0 D. Now, the bachelor is over... ( I know, I know Sean Is now taken no more drooling) haha. But I will continue to stock him , since he's on DWTS so I will get to see him more.

Well, back to my DIY. So I thought this nail look was a simple one, and it is in some ways but you need time. So my advise is sit in front of your fave program, and start painting your nails. So follow my steps and I hope you enjoy a good mani.

What you'll need ( remember you can use any colors you want )

 

Nail polish remover, base coat , insta dry nails , Nail polish , tape , I use a painters brush from a kit to dip into the cap and clean up the edges , last it was this scissor in the pic. But I didn't use it, I used a regular scissor.

 

Step 1: place base coat ( used Avon) and cut your pattern. I used a scissor to cut zigzags on the edge of the tape.

 

Step 2: Pick your colors: paint the color of your choice as the base ( pick fun colors). *NOTE: that this step is important, you MUST let the color dry complete *

Step 3: Place the pc of tape over the nail, press down gently

 

Step 4: Apply the second nail color, after a few minutes peel off carefully. After 2 minutes I apply my Secret weapon Sally Hanson Insta Dry Top Coat. And the results are pretty.

BH Cosmetics New California City Special Pallets Swatches

Hello Friends! Excited to chat and share with you these two great pallets from BH Cosmetics, they just released 3 new California city named pallets. I only purchased two of the pallets, so I wanted to share with you how pigmented are the colors. BH Cosmetics did it again! Oh and you won't believe it, they are only $10.00 woohoo!

The two pallets purchased were San Francisco and Malibu. Now why didn't I pick Hollywood? Good question, well I just felt that Hollywood was very similar to Malibu. But I'm pretty sure it's as beautiful as the rest, but I'm happy with my choices. So back to the review, I want to list the things I love and not love.

Things I love: 1) The Pigmentation: BH has never disappointed , great solid colors that last and stand out 2) The color combinations provides a balance to the pallet 3) The blushes: Can I say wow! They've included a white shimmer color as a highlighter that looks amazing. This has to be my fave, it gives you the glowy look. 3) The package is great , it's small enough to fit in your purse or great for travel.

Things I don't love: Nothing really, I think the price is great for the value and of course the cute packaging :0)

Nail Polish Mania

Hi! Friends

So how many can agree that this past year we've seen so many nailpolish addicts. Totally guilty! I can honestly say that I'm obsessed, with nail polish. I find myself going to Ulta , Walgreens and picking up a new color. Before I discovered my secret nailpolish weapon against the dreaded nail drying time, I was not into painting my nails. But now that I've found this amazing , incredible, extraordinary drying liquid I can change my nail colors at least two times a week. If you follow instructions carefully you will see that you can have a new mani a few times a week. :0) . Below is a preview of my nailpolish collection, and soon I will be expanding to a case, excited. But until now enjoy.

Getting Ready for Spring!

Hi! Friends with Winter still around (booo) I can't help it but to prepare for Spring. Who cant wait for that Spring breeze, and the pretty flowers. Hmmm, I can just feel it! So this past weekend, Ulta my fave store (yea!!!), had an insert on Spring Beauty that I totally want to give my own opinion. I'm totally into changing, from a dark eye, to something soft. So lets look:

Spring first must have: Glowing Skin! Ahhh I totally agree, you've seen on Tv those girls in Malibu who look fierce with that dewy skin and gorge tan. Well I'm naturally tanned so, one point for meeeee lol. Now, how do we get that dewy look? Below are some products that can be used to reach that glow. Now! Note that you might have to try several till you get that perfect one. I'm just so into BB creams that I feel it's such an alternative to foundation on lazy days, or just days you want to cover up, but not made up. ( If you don't know what BB creams is read this BB cream - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )

I can personally say that smatchbox is my fave for high end BB Cream , it's perfect for those days you want that foundation feel. Now, my alternative drugstore is Rimmel London new BB Cream BB CREAM | Rimmel London US. This BB cream is amazing, goes on light and its medium coverage.

Now quick tip on BB Creams : A must know is that they can tend to be oily, so if you don't like that oily look period then it's not for you. But don't loose hope, when I started to use BB Cream I thought the same thing. But after 6 different brands, I've found the right one for me. So the benefits are if you have dry skin, this will feel amazing, not only does it hydrate, but over time it gives you even skin tone. Try Garnier BB Cream ( for those dry skin girls). Ok enough on this..... Lol

Second must have for Spring : Relaxed Waves... Oh! So pretty those curls with some golden highlights and the wind blowing slowly pushing your hair ( I'm awake now, but a girl can dream right? ). But every girl wants that hair, and with these products and tools below, I'm pretty sure we can as well. Now, I haven't tried any of the hair products, but I'm sure going to try Beach Babe. First, I use some of the other products by " Not your Mothers" and they are pretty good. I also think that the right tool will get you that final look. So I have a deep wave tool, it's super fun deff for creating that wavy look. But a styling wand will get you those curls. In my personal opinion, I've tried these tools, but the busy person I am and a sucker for easy effective things, I use my topstyler by Instyler. Do you want to know more? click here TOPSTYLER® by InStyler® Amazing Volume and Sexy Curls. But being a current user of the Instyler rotating brush, I had to be faithful. So lesson to be learned, with the correct product and tool you can create your beach waves this spring.

 

Third and Fourth must have look for Spring: A bold Brow and a Pop of Lip Color. You may ask! why Brows? Well, the eye brows are always referred as being the one thing on your face that defines you. So what can we say, keeping your eyebrows trimmed what a mission right? Please tell me a person who loooooves to go every other week, to get plucked, waxed or threaded? NOT me! It's so pretty though after you get them done, so my new fave thing is a brow kit. As seen below, brow kits are so popular and I'm sold. Below we have Benefits Cosmetics brow kit, I love Benefits and I'm pretty sure this is an amazing kit. But a drug store alternative is NYC brow kit, so far I love it. It makes my brows look groomed and gives it shape. Now onto lips, what can I say. Your lips are the next most looked at part of your face, so having your lips moisturized and looking fresh is a must. Lip tint is so in, right now. I don't know how I feel about it, since I have the maybeline balm and I'm not a fan. It's perfect for moisture, a hint of color but nothing to drastic, but it's pretty refreshing for a pool side balm since it has SPF.

Last Spring must have look: Metallic Lids! Ok..... I know really? Metallics. Why not? , metallics used correctly can be beautiful. The products below I would so use, especialy the NYX lid shadow. When you are beach bound you want a fresh effortless look. So dabbing a hit of metallic onto your lid will do just that, and not to mention how easy it is to apply.

So no matter what you try this Spring, either a pop of color on your lip, that pretty dewy skin, or just a metallic eye, I know you will look beautiful. Go get that skin glowing, that beach bag ready, and have an amazing spring, if it ever gets here.
